"I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now" (Philippians 1:3-5 ESV).

"And you Philippians yourselves know that in the beginning of the gospel, when I left Macedonia, no church entered into partnership with me in giving and receiving, except you only. Even in Thessalonica you sent me help for my needs once and again. Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that increases to your credit. I have received full payment, and more. I am well supplied, having received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent, a fragrant offering, a sacrifice acceptable and pleasing to God. And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:15-19 ESV).

It brought joy to Paul's heart whenever he prayed for the congregation in Philippi because of their partnership with him in making known the good news of Salvation through Jesus Christ. He encouraged them to continue to give because this would bring "the fruit that increases to" their credit. They would receive blessings from God and the joy of knowing that they were part of a ministry that produced fruit for eternity. The believers at Philippi were just as much a part of Paul's gospel work as Paul himself. Paul was doing a part that they could not do and they were doing a part that Paul could not do. They couldn't preach the gospel like Paul and Paul couldn't provide for his needs because he was totally involved in evangelism and church-planting. But by their doing their part and Paul doing his, this partnership got the job done.

Dear prayer partners, we feel a similar joy as we think of your partnership with us. You can't do what we are doing in:

   1. identifying translation projects,
   2. arranging strategic partnerships to set up a project,
   3. providing translation and editing expertise.

We can't do what you are doing in providing us with:
  1. strong prayer-backing
  2. encouragement by letter, phone-call or visit
  3. the funds for the various projects and the general running of The Translation Trust.

But if we all do our part then this partnership will get the job done. We want to encourage you to do your part so you may receive the fruit that increases to your credit. We want you to experience the joy and blessing of being involved in a partnership that produces fruit for eternity.
